Compassion

You are a jewel.

Even though you may not see it,

All that you consider to be imperfect

Allows greater light to shine through.

Even in darkness you are eternally

bright.

Kuan Yin, known in Buddhism as the goddess of compassion and mercy, has shown up in your reading today to ask you to be more compassionate towards yourself.

She asks you to reflect on the many times you have critical thoughts about yourself.

Make an effort to replace these negative thoughts with positive and loving ones.

Your spirit lives always in perfection, even though from the physical plane you may perceive that you are less than perfect.

Perfection exist in all things, even though we may not always see it.

All is perfect and all is sacred.

Remember that the physical world is simply spirit clothed in matter.

From a spiritual perspective, life is a game whose sole object is for us to remember who we truly are.

You are an eternal being of light and even though your mind may see imperfection in many things, in actuality everything is perfect just the way it is.

Everything serves a purpose otherwise it would cease to exist.

Do not strive to perfect your flaws.

Acccept them.

Love yourself as you are.

View things compassionately and you will see the underlying beauty that exists in all things.

No More Wounds

It is time to break free from the

restrictions of some of your beliefs.

Your life is on the verge of something beautiful, yet before this new phase commence, you must examine your beliefs and break free from anything that no longer serves a positive purpose in your life.

You deserve to be and have all you heart desires, for you are a blessed child of creation.

Jesus spoke of love and forgiveness, of compassion, peace and non-judgment, and set an example by showing love and compassion to all.

He empowered others by reflecting the light that shines within them.

Yet what he preached and practiced has since largely been distorted or adulterated by many Church leaders over the years.

As a result, much of Western consciousness has been impregnated with subconscious feelings of inadequacy and guilt.

We can feel bad about ourselves without even realizing it.

Examine everything you believe and replace any fear-based beliefs with bright new loving ones.

The negative image of wounds and suffering can be replaced with the positive image of ressurection, joy and happiness but it is a process that requires time and dedication.

You can do it, and as you do, your life will change for the better.

Rose Quartz

As you weave the tapestry of your life,

Allow each stitch to be sewn with love.

The Rose Quartz card has shown up in your reading today to encourage you to reflect upon and examine how you truly feel about yourself and your life.

Do you feel loved, successful and happy?

The truth is you are equal to the greatest being that has everlived and that you deserve to feel, be and have all that your heart desires.

Whether you realize it or not, your power is beyond measure.

Your angels ask you, to embrace the power, beauty and wisdom within you.

Know that you can use these special qualities, to create and manifest anything your heart desires.

Love yourself as you truly are and allow your love to radiate out in every direction.

To truly love is to have love and compassion foe all living things, but first and foremost you must have love and compassion for you.

True peace, prosperity and happiness can only be achieved through love.

Yet before these things can manifest in the world around you, you must feel them and love them with your heart.

Help others quietly, without

expecting gratitude or rewards.

Let the healing power of your spirit run through your hands as you reach to touch another, but say nothing to the person you help.

Learn to give invisibly.

When we move the focus of our attention from ourselves to others, we also remove an enormous burden from our backs — the need to satisfy our unrealistically high expectations.

As the Dalai Lama might out it, compassion is its own reward.

There’s no merit in helping others out of a desire for acclaim.

If recognition comes, that’s all right, but to expect it is to seek self-aggrandizement.

Modern authorities on the spiritual life, such as Ram Daas and Ken Wilber, have observed that genuine enlightenment always manifests as compassion (perhaps a better word for mercy), which goes hand in hand with a desire to be of service to others.

The benefit to yourself comes in creating a circle of compassion in which you will ultimately be included.

Friendliness, compassion,

and delight cultivate a calm mind.

Practice the healing power of a compassionate mind.

Open your heart to other people without judgment, and radiate the message of delight at having them in your life.

Sometime between 200 B.C.E. and 400 C.E., the Indian sage Patanjali codified the basic principle of yoga in a work known as the Yoga Sutras, still the most authoritative text on yoga we have.

The word sutra means “thread,” and Patanjali’s classic work consists of a series of short, aphoristic phrases or sentences strung together like beads on a string.

What we know in the West as hatha yoga is just one aspect of a larger system that includes explicit ethical and moral rules, practices of breath control and deep meditation, and underlying philosophical principles.

Over the centuries, they’ve received interpretation and commentary from a number of prominent Indian mystics and thinkers.

The particular aphorism from which the wisdom on this card derives reads, “Undisturbed calmness of mind is attained by cultivating friendliness toward those who are honorable, and indifference toward the dishonorable.”

In their popular modern commentary, Swami Prabhavanada and Christopher Isherwoodwrite, “If we meet someone who is happy in his way of life, we are inclined to envy him and be jealous of his success. We must learn to rejoice in it, as we take pleasure in the happiness of a friend. If someone is unhappy, we should feel sorry for him, instead of despising and criticizing him for bringing misfortune upon himself.”

Their words call to mind one of the sayings of Confucius, who lived several centuries before Patanjali: “When you see a good man, think of emulating him; when you see a bad man, examine your own heart.”

Blessed are the

merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.

Mercy is a rare word, one hardly spoken.

Not judging another; speaking with kind of words; thinking compassionate thoughts about others.

May acts of mercy come your way.

Absorption in our own troubles, or in our unending need for gratification, creates a negative momentum that can lead not only to narcisissim, but to addictive and high-risk behavior as well.

When we move the focus of our attention from ourselves to others, we also remove an enormous burden from our backs — the need to satisfy our unrealistically high expectations.

As the Dalai Lama migh put it, compassion is its own reward.

Modern authorities on the spiritual life, such as Ram Daas and Ken Wilber, have observed that genuine enlightenment always manifests as compassion (perhaps a better word for mercy), which goes hand in hand with a desire to be of service to others.
