Is Loneliness a Natural Part of Creativity? By Cara Lumen

This article is taken from this site: http://ezinearticles.com/?Is-Loneliness-a-Natural-Part-of-Creativity?&id=6552478

Lady Gaga said her life was lonely. Danielle Steel said she started writing because she was lonely. And Dana Delaney said she never married or had children because she felt she could not do that and ply her craft. I wondered if loneliness is a natural part of creativity.

Are creatives different?

If you are passionate about an idea you are focused on being it and doing it and sharing it to the exclusion of a lot of other things. For instance, my choices, my interests and the way I spend my time are all influenced by my massive need to learn and teach. It takes the form of writing and coaching. If you are heavily in touch with your creative side for most of your life you may have felt that you are noticeably different or outside the main stream. And the truth is, if you are going to respond to your creativity and inner passion you have to spend time alone. You have to listen to your inner wisdom and you have to be true to yourself. As you stand firm in your individuality some people will be drawn to you and others will not. There is definitely alone-ness in following the beat of your own drummer.

What happens when you answer the creative muse?

When the idea for this article hit me I was watching The View where all three guests indicated there was loneliness in their lives. Danielle Steel writes all the time and has four or five books going at once. She has been married five times, has raised nine children and has still managed to write nearly 120 books. Lady Gaga writes her own music and designs her incredibly imaginative costumes and sets and of course performs on tour and records. There is no question that creativity requires devotion and commitment.

I definitely identified with their loneliness so I leaped over to my computer to see what I could discover about the relationship between creativity and loneliness. And that very drop-everything-and-go-write choice is a perfect example of answering the muse to the exclusion of all else. I was excited about the idea, I needed to explore and see what I could discover about the topic of loneliness and I needed to write it right now. So I did. I am sometimes even pulled out of my daily meditation by a thought that calls me to action right that minute. I have been casually reading articles that posed a question I wanted to answer for myself and immediately began to explore it by writing down my thoughts and responses. When the urge to create comes upon you nothing else matters. You answer the muse.

Creatives keep open to inspiration

As a creative you are open to new ideas. You are not looking for anything in particular you are just tuning into that powerful internal response that says “I need to explore that idea.” When I read I write down phrases that inspire me. Sometimes an idea presents itself that one of my coaching clients can use so I sit down and develop it in a form to share with them. Today when a bird was having breakfast at the birdfeeder outside my window I wondered about how its day was going and how could I write a bird story as a teaching example. Or how could I look at the freedom of a bird’s life and apply that to my own? Creatives see opportunities everywhere, all the time.

You gotta love the excitement of your thought process

Creative people are passionate. They love to explore and examine and contemplate. And they have a very strong desire to share what they know and learn with others. My highest moments are when I’m creating a new teaching product, writing down something I know that I want to share with others. That discovery process, those decisions I must make, the results I know I can accomplish and the product I uncover are a natural high that I cherish. In fact, as I’ve watched my mind work to uncover a new idea and turn it into a valuable information product I’ve created my own content development system around the process that I can teach others. Our minds are amazing and using it to discover, uncover and create is totally satisfying.

And then there is the great joy of creating something from nothing!

I took a painting class. It had been a long time since I’d tried to paint and I was never very good at it but I craved creativity. The class began with a blank canvas and when I finished there was a pastoral scene that had not existed before! Not a great one, but from nothing had come something. It was totally satisfying. My mind, my imagination had visualized a scene and turned it into a tangible picture that allowed me to share my vision. That’s what creativity is all about – pulling your ideas from within and putting them in a form to share with others.

Rejoice in the amazing things you learn

If you want to learn more about something write about it. Whether it is an article like this that explores an idea that interests me or the contemplation of a new personal development course I have yet to create, the mere holding of an idea in my consciousness brings answers and resources from every corner. If you want to learn – teach.

You must bring your ideas to others

If you are inspired by something, if you are passionate about a topic, if you have ideas on how to help others get excited too, then you need to bring your ideas to those people. Whether you write or teach or make a video or give a talk, as a creative you need to share your ideas and thoughts.

And you do not have to be alone in your creativity. The internet is the great connector. I can find like-minded people all over the world. I can read what they say or connect with them in person. I can talk to people in England and Egypt and Australia and it makes the world seem smaller and friendlier. I can share my ideas to a much larger audience and have a greater chance of connecting with people who share my interests. The world is our creative connection. But first you have to put your ideas out there so others can find you.

Are we lonely?

We are alone that’s for certain. We are alone when we write our article. We are alone when we plan our telecourse. We are alone when we create time to go within and listen. We constantly make choices that honor and nourish our creativity. I’d much rather spend the morning exploring a new idea than visiting with a neighbor. I’d much rather read something that inspires me and makes me want to go teach that idea to others than work at something confining and repeatable. I cannot be in groups where the conversations are stories of the past. I want to talk about what you are thinking and doing right now to make your world interesting and vital and meaningful. Not everyone can do that. So yes, by the very nature of my creativity I choose to be alone – alone with my thoughts, my ideas and my self-expression. As far as I’m concerned that is simply hanging out with an interesting me. I’m not lonely but I am often alone. Are you lonely in your creativity?

Spiritual Exhaustion by Sonia Barrett

This article is taken from this site: http://spiritlibrary.com/sonia-barrett/spiritual-exhaustion

Sonia Barrett

Sonia Barrett like many has been a seeker of more expansive knowledge since childhood. Her curiosity and persistence has guided her to a greater understanding of the veils behind which collective conscious is shrouded.  Sonia was born in Jamaica and at the age of 13 along with her parents she moved to the United States.  She later attended Roosevelt University in Chicago and majored in voice, pursuing a career in the entertainment industry.  Her curiosities of the journey lead her to further studies of the science of the body and the process by which it is interwoven into the third dimensional matrix; a matrix spiraling out of an infinite number of other matrixes. Self empowerment is the foundation of all that she shares. Dependency is not encouraged. Her layman understanding of Quantum Physics widens her ability to intercept the simultaneous nature of timelines.

Sonia Barrett’s work is an embrace of science and spirituality as one in the same. She is the Host of Sovereign Mind Radio program, www.sovereignmindradio.com and founder and publisher of Sovereign Mind Magazine,www.sovereignmindmagazine.com  and author of The Holographic Canvas, The Fusing of Mind and Matter; she has written many articles exploring time travel, immortality, ascension and the science of past lives. She has been interviewed on a number of radio programs.  Sonia currently presents workshop or what she has termed “Memory Lectures”. The principle of these Memory Lectures is to reawaken the memory of those attending. As noted on the back of her book “the answers are all tied into the forgotten past and like the single cell of a plant our history is encoded in our cell, DNA and the air we breathe”. Sonia presents concepts and ideas that stimulate thought and revives empowerment. Her objective overall is to present clarity, insight and definition to a word now commonly used; the “matrix”. She aims to write and present material which cut right to the heart of the matter, presenting a realization that we have lived our lives as programmed beings, from birth to death, at least for many. She boldly questions the concept of death; exploring the original design of the body supported by an elevation in consciousness.   Her information is sought globally.

Her latest projects include the recording of The Holographic Canvas, The Fusing of Mind and Matter as an audio, The CD will be available October 6th 2008. She has also created a Focus CD (Meditation) titled Beyond Gravity, Beyond Time, also available on October 6th. Sonia’s book The Holographic Canvas, The Fusing of Mind and Matter has been revised, adding two new chapters and will be available September 16th 2008. www.spiritinform.com, Amazon.com and other online stores. The book will be available in Barnes and Noble stores and other local bookstores in November 2008. Excerpts from Sonia’s lectures and interviews can also be found on You tube and available for purchase on her website www.spiritinform.com .

Is there ever a moment when there is truly nothing left to give. Most everyone has experienced that moment of spiritual exhaustion. It’s that feeling of having tried repeatedly yet things seem to take two steps forward and three steps back. The idea of being positive becomes even more exasperating especially when others enforce this idea in an attempt to be encouraging. It is the journey through the valley and into the dark night. What is perhaps perplexing is the certainty held in believing that one has exceeded a reoccurrence of that experience. One is left speechless, exhausted, a little ticked off and thinking what the *%#@.

It is a very interesting place to be as there is no desire to utilize anything that you know or have learned or thought that you understood. This is indeed spiritual exhaustion for you have been trying and doing and learning and falling and getting up and dusting yourself off. Perhaps this time you don’t quite know how to get back up or if you even care about getting back up. Ah the journey!

So how do you recover from this tiresome trek?  How do you create momentum and reignite passion in moving forward.  Examine the synchronicities in one’s life along with the disappointments which have created great opportunities in one’s life; such as a relocation/move or new friends, a new career or job, love, a deeper awareness of yourself perhaps even an exploration of your inner demons. These gifting experiences can be a great reminder and can also shed light on those dimly lit moments. Every disappointment holds purpose. Every set back might actually propel you forward. Our perceptions get the best of us. When things don’t unfold as planned or perceived we are strangled by the uncertainty of the outcome. Sometimes sharing your feelings with others might actually add fuel to the fire and you may come away feeling even more frustrated.

Most often we are aware of the response that may come from the individual we elect to share our current dilemma. It’s best not to open yourself up to what you do not wish to hear and should you do so knowing the outcome then what is said to you is exactly what you needed to hear despite your displeasure. Listen closely to what is being said for there are answers coded in what has been said.  The appropriate character with just the right personality steps forward to assist by translating data that is already in you, information that you cannot readily see or access at the moment. Everything, every situation, everyone including your environment is providing you with the data necessary to be decoded for change.

So every certainty and every uncertainty is establishing a pathway that is aligned with our desires and perceptions. How many times have you been disappointed about the timing of things but it turns out that when things did unfold it was perfect timing. There are also challenges in knowing when to push against the grain and when not to. When there is discomfort in any action and fear its best to stop and examine the core of such feelings. If there is satisfaction in doing nothing then follow that feeling for your head will encourage you to respond based on fear but your heart will direct you to the patch that is necessary for growth. One might say that you followed your heart in matters of love and you were severely hurt well that was the experience needed. Deep down there are certain truths which we are aware of in regards to the people that we become involved with but we take the journey anyway. What we come away with are necessary experiences.

Spiritual exhaustion is generally centered on patterns; relentless patterns in our lives. We continue to come full circle back to the same old experiences again and again. When this happens one can view it as an opportunity to avoid all previous choices associated with the patterns. Begin breaking the cycle of investing in the same old choices otherwise patterns get caught in a loop that will continuously return to you. This is a powerful method of recovery. It is evident that all previous choices have created a specific path of outcomes which simply repeat. When this happens those solutions are short lived and they dead end and bounce back.

This process emphasizes the necessity in breaking limiting habits. A habit is a pattern. Spiritually progressive beings seem to have their lives rattled into intense changes…why is that. When one sets out on a journey of inner discovery it is challenging to explore great depths when one is encumbered by old programs, beliefs and perceptions. This clearing then becomes necessary in order to see the path. Not everyone greets this seemingly forced change with ease; some will struggle to hold on to the old. In doing so we limit the momentum for progression as our eyes and minds become more fixed on what might appear to be a struggle for survival.

What is meant by “spiritual” most especially in this context? It is not the spirit that is exhausted but rather the struggle to remain in alignment with the spirit. We are emotionally overcome with the frequency or energy of the physical world no differently than an addiction. We are up against an addiction to the vibration of physicality. The physical world is an addictive experience when in a physical body for any length of time. We are chemically addicted to the experience being processed through the five senses or more. This is a struggle between the visible and the invisible realm as we belong to both. The visible is however a byproduct of the invisible. We are overcome by the density of the physical and that density is replicated in the body as a result of our thought process, stored and trapped emotions, beliefs and unresolved matters as we travel through this virtual game of time and space.

Spiritual exhaustion is then a result of this relentless redemption of a more expansive existence or a more expansive self.  How we elect to interpret our experiences makes all the difference in where we go from here. It makes all the difference in determining just how long one will remain in spiritual exhaustion for if the gift of change being presented is not embraced the challenges may appear even greater. Reality is a game of perceptions. How does one determine that which begs to be changed? The circumstances being presented is the vehicle of opportunity for change. More specifically if this is a familiar pattern then the choices previously used to resolve this matter must be examined for those choices no longer serve you. Should one elect the same old choices out of fear or desperation the loop will not break but will move along a path much like a race track until it makes its way back to where it started.

What we fear most is losing control or of one’s world crumbling. Losing control is a gift for it is the automated self that has been controlling things all along. It controls based on learned experiences and learned resolutions. It makes choices based on its programming for survival. When that kind of control is lost and fear is absent we can more clearly see the truth of the smoke and mirrors that we fight to hold on to. We can hear and feel our more expansive self from which solutions will come. What might seem to be the worst possible outcome could be the best possible outcome for ones opinion of the best outcome is most often built on the survival program. It all works.

Every situation has something in it for us; there is always a gift to be retrieved. All of life is synchronistic; each moment aligns with the next to meet the conditions of your journey. What are the conditions of your journey? Is it to continue the same experiences until you expire? Is it to fight against change? Is it to be limited in your perceptions and beliefs? Is it to go the unlimited extra mile? If it is indeed to go the unlimited extra mile then stepping outside of the box is a prerequisite to freeing our minds and bodies. The illusionary boundaries of time will be made clear for all of our actions and addictions are tied into our perception or programming of time. It is why we coddle the physical in fear of running out of time. It is why the survival program works so well for we fear nonexistence; this is a core program in all human beings. This program can also be a gift in propelling us to discover more about who we are and our potential to exceed time as we have embraced it be.

Spiritual exhaustion can be a great gift at this moment for it is a grand opportunity to release, change and become less dense. It is an opportunity for tremendous vibrational shifts. While experiencing this process simply allow one ’s self to feel, express and allow emotions to play out, don’t fight them with positive thinking. Let them emerge so that you can see exactly what is at the root of your belief system; it’s an opportunity to see the inner saboteurs of one’s life. These are the emotions we fight against in attempting to remain positive as we do battle with doubt. Positivity must come freely unencumbered by doubt. Doubt is also a gift. Unveiling the master within is the gift of the journey and only you can bring forth what you already are. It’s the great work and so when we ask the question of how we can change the world we must take it to heart that the world is only being experienced by each of us according to the conditions of our journey. It always comes back to the individual. Ultimately spiritual exhaustion is about the unveiling of the master within it is the key to experiencing the world on new levels of perception. Find the gift!

Living in the 5th Dimension and Releasing the Illusions of the 3rd Dimension (Archangel Michael through Celia Fenn)

www.starchild.co.za

This article is taken from this site: http://www.lightparty.com/Spirituality/living-5-dimension.htm

February, 2005

Dearest Ones, this channel comes to you after requests from Lightworkers to understand the nature of the energy right now, and why you are finding it so difficult to cope with life. Nothing seems to work anymore. You feel unsupported and abandoned in many cases. You are exhausted and anxious, and you feel as though you cannot go on any more. Well, this is quite true. You cannot go on any more living in a way that is primarily third-dimensional. The Earth has made her transition and is now firmly anchored in the Fifth Dimension. And yet most of you continue with your third-dimensional lives as though nothing had happened.

We know that most of you are expecting that you will wake up one day and see and feel the changes. But no, part of your role as lightworkers is that you will create the changes yourselves. It is up to you to start living the truth and the reality of the Fifth Dimension.

Maintaining the illusion of the Third Dimension is what is causing the stress and exhaustion among you. The shaky and disintegrating structures of the former Third Dimension are no longer enough to hold your lives together. Money and economics no longer support your lives as they once did. Relationships no longer provide the security and support and safety that they once did. Your physical bodies are tired and feel as though they can no longer keep doing this. And we would say to you, yes indeed, it is time to let go and fully embrace your new reality.

But what is even more exhausting for many of you as lightworkers, is the constant swing between dimensional realities. You live your new reality, and yet you are constantly being pulled into the old reality frame that is being lived out by those around you. The constant shift of frames and perspectives is another contributing factor to your exhaustion, anxiety, and feeling of being unsupported.

Dearest Ones, we realize that most of you are a little bewildered about your new reality, and wish that you had some kind of “instruction manual” to help you along. Well, we will offer some guidelines here, but primarily we ask that you be understanding of how unstable and erratic your reality is at present. People are confused and uncertain. Those who are not conscious of the ascension process have no explanation for what is happening in their lives, and are feeling the most stress and anxiety because they see only the evidence of disintegration and chaos. They are becoming increasingly confused and unhappy. But understand that as they feel these emotions, they are coming increasingly closer to “waking up” and understanding what is real, and to begin to create the new reality with you.

Here we would offer to you an understanding of Fifth Dimensional reality very briefly. The most important difference between Third and Fifth Dimensional reality is a change in the nature of Time and Space and how they are perceived by you. Time and Space were fixed realities in the Third Dimension. In the Fifth Dimension they are fluid and are understood to be largely illusionary.

Time in the Fifth Dimension is perceived as the Eternal NOW or present. The cycles of day and night are understood to be mechanical markers of cycles of being, but have no real effect or power over the creative potential of the Now moment. This means that what you feel and experience in the present moment is the only essentially important experience. The past and the future have no relevance as such. What you create and experience in this moment is who and what you are and what you will be, unless you shift your intention.

Once you understand this principle fully, you will understand how to cope with your sense that there is never enough time to accomplish what you need to do. Focus on the present moment, experience it fully in its immediacy, and you will find that time will stretch for you into an eternity. Yes it sounds magical, but the Fifth Dimension is a magical place! And know that what you focus your attention on will become increasingly powerful and will manifest in your life, as you become increasingly aware of your power as creators within the Fifth
Dimension.

The same is true for space. You will increasingly see that space and distance are only illusions of the material plane. You are always and immediately connected to others who are your soul and heart family, no matter where they may be on the planet. The Internet has taught you in a physical way how the illusion of space can be bridged. You will soon understand that within yourselves you have the ability to maintain these links telepathically with those to whom you are connected.

And after this understanding will come the understanding that every human is always connected to every other human on the energetic level, and that what you call a “planet” is no more than a great co-creation of all the beings on that planet, including the animals and the non-sentient beings. In fact a planet is really a great creative “node” where many creator “gods” work together to produce a “consensus” reality. Once you understand this fully, you will begin to understand how to utilize the Paradise Matrix that has been set up in order to co-create the Paradise of the Fifth Dimension that was your original plan for the planet.

Once you understand these principles, you can move forward into the Adventure of the Unfolding of the Creative Now Moment! Understand that your reality will seem to move quicker because your vibration is now higher. Events will unfold rapidly. Things will change rapidly. You will need to be fluid and flexible and open to rapid changes. You will have to have absolute trust that your Higher Aspect in tandem with Spirit knows what you need and where to take you, and that you can follow this unfolding with confidence and trust.

And finally, you will need to be in touch with your Creative Passion! It is the only thing that will move you forward at this time. Otherwise you will stagnate. In the Fifth Dimension you are no longer moved forward along the “tracks” of career and work that once supported you. Now it is the energy and movement of your creative passion that will take you forward. Are you willing to let go of the old structures and move into the flow of new creations and new realities? The extent to which you hold on to old structures will be an exact correlation to the extent of the anxiety and stress that you will feel. It is only when you connect with the flow of Creative Passion that you will move forward in your own Creative Unfolding. And this is the true essence of the Multi-Dimensional experience of Who You Are that is the gift of your New Fifth-Dimensional Planet.

It is our hope that this message will help you to understand the challenges of your present time and to move more rapidly through this transition into full Fifth-Dimensional creative joy.

Denial

Divine Helpers

Confusion

Distortion

Ignorance

Compromise

Your Divine Helpers are here to help you take off your blincers and more honestly assess the difficulties in your intimate relationships.

Although you’d prefer to believe that ignorance is bliss, the truth is that denial is not a river in Egypt, nor is it a genuine form of protection against unhappiness.

Your guides gently ask you to summon the courage to honestly admit the real problems that exist in your relationships.

As difficult as they may be, until you do so, there’s no chance that these shadows will ever heal.

So, for example, admit when your wife isn’t just tipsy, but, rather, is drunk, as she can be on many nights.

Or admit (at least to yourself) that when your son says he can’t find a job it’s because he isn’t looking that hard.

Or that when your partner says he must work late every single night for months that an affair or other digression is likely.

Most important, admit what you might be hiding from your loved ones: Acknowledge your fears, addiction, excuses, and failures honestly and with compassion.

Realize that what your mind blots out, your heart knows … and so does everyone else.

In other words, when you’re in denial, you’re only kidding yourself.

What your mind blots out, your heart knows.

Your Divine Helpers want you to acknowledge these unpleasant realities because until you do, you’ll be stuck with them.

Not every unpleasant reality needs to be challenged or changed, however.

Sometimes it’s best to compromise, or let things be.

If your partner is generally sloppy, for example, but is otherwise a gem, let it go.

However, if your partner is in serious trouble (or vice versa), you’re only harming yourself and others — and perpetuating the problem — by denying it.

Your Divine Helpers’ message: “Take off the blinders, and be open to the truth about others and yourself.  Only then can you learn and grow past problems.”

Divine Helpers

Overload

Workaholism

Overdrive

Your Divine Helpers are here, advising you that while it’s essential that you do everything in your power to fulfill your goals, it’s equally important to know when to back off and aloow the Universe to work its magic on your behalf.

You’ve done enough.

Allow these beautiful and highly competent guides to step in and take over.

Your enthusiasm is your gift, but unless it’s properly contained, it can undermine your best intentions.

Your Divine Helpers gently remind you that just as plants need water to grow, too much will drown their ability to blossom.

The same principle applies to your efforts.

Overdoing is fear in dishuise; do not allow it to keep you in the manic mode.

Give yourself more breathing space.

Trust that your Divine Helpers are on the job overseeing your success so you can rest.

You need to let go and turn responsibilites over to others.

Just because you need rest doesn’t mean that they do.

Ask your Divine Helpers for assistance in this; they know better than you what you need right now.

Ease up and let them work their miracles.

Their message: “Rest.”
